Winter is now upon us and things will soon be getting hard and cold, and nothing that can happen to an ordinary rubber hose isn't going to happen to it now, freezing and cracking and hardening and becoming unsafe. Hoses should always be stored indoors when not in use. Soak the frozen hose for a short time – not enough to start heating too much – never with heat directly. You might want to warm up the fluid, and use High Temp Hydraulic Hose rated for extreme temperature variations (some R13 and R15 hoses are good from -40C/40F to +121C/250F).
